Calella
Calella is a destination you can enjoy all year round. Located in the heart of the Costa del Maresme, which is also the start of the Costa Brava, Calella has excellent train, bus and highway connections with the cities of Barcelona and Girona. Calella is the perfect destination for those who love the sea and its crystal-clear waters, good food, culture and outdoor activities.
The Beaches of Calella
Discover the magnificent beaches of Calella, which have been awarded the ICTE Q for Quality since 2004 and also boast the European Blue Flag. Calella is known for its quiet beaches with golden sand, crystal-clear waters and the privileged temperature of the Mediterranean Sea. The beaches include showers, security and surveillance services and beach bars. Some even have sports areas. They are all within walking distance from the hotel Kaktus Playa (2 to 15 minutes).

Las Rocas Beach
Next to the lighthouse of Calella, this beach is made up of several small coves with crystal-clear waters (Rocapins, La Vinyeta, Roca Grossa and Cala d’en Pere (nude beach)). These are the typical picture-postcard coves of the Costa Brava.

Garbí Beach
Here you will find our Bahari Club beach bar where you can chill out in our hammock area. It is a very wide beach with transparent waters where you can try out several activities, as it has sports areas in which to play football and beach volleyball, as well as lanes for cycling, skateboarding or roller skating.

Playa Grande
In the city centre, where you will find another Kaktus Hotels Beach Club called NUI Beach, as well as football and beach volleyball areas. This beach is right next to the promenade. Both on the beach and on the promenade, you will find several children’s playgrounds.
Calella is also committed to adapting its beaches for everyone, so it’s easy to find adapted showers and access ramps (Garbí Beach and Grande Beach) and amphibious chairs (Grande Beach).
Leisure and Culture
